Habitat: Semi desert environments, scrublands and savannas

Diet: Green vegetables, plants, earthworms and crickets

Lifespan: Up to 12 years

Average Size: Length Up to 41cm., Weight: 0.5 Kg.

Characteristics:

The Bearded Dragon is a tan/yellow colour and are named because of its ability to flare out the skin in the throat region.  They have a flat body with a wedge shaped head with spines on the throat, head and sides of the body.  Bearded dragons can regulate their body temperature by changing shades of colour from light to dark.
