Habitat: Grasslands, marshes and swamps

Diet: Rodents, rabbits and small birds

Lifespan: 25 years

Average Size: Up to 75 kg, Length Up to 5 metres

Characteristics:

Third largest snake in the world, they have triangular shaped heads, sharp, backward-curving teeth and have extremely prehensile tails.  Burmese pythons are constrictors meaning they squeeze the life out of their prey before eating them whole and head first.
