Ouessant sheep are a rare breed of sheep known for their particular small size.  Rams have distinctive large curly horns that terminate in sharp, outward turning tips.  Females are naturally polled (no horns).  They have a thick fleece of long wool with a dense undercoat that comes mainly in a black or brown colouring.  Ewes tend to have a single lamb at birth and live outside all year round.
