Characteristics:

Budgerigars or budgies as they are commonly known are a small Australian parrot.  They are generally green and yellow with black markings on their back and wings, but come in a host of different colours.  Budgies are amongst the most vocal of all pet bird species and have clearer voices than most other birds.
